is a Norwegian-Ukrainian pianist and organist from Tashkent, Uzbekistan. She began playing piano from the age of five and organ when she was twelve at the prestigious Uspensky Special Music School for gifted children in Tashkent. The school is famed from the Soviet era, and was known for its exceptional teaching staff. From 1996-2002 Kristina continued her piano education at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy in Kiev (Ukraine), in the class of docent Oksana Ryndenko and professor Ryabov Igor Michailovich. She graduated with distinction, receiving her diploma as a concert pianist, teacher, accompanist and chamber ensemble artist. In Norway from 2005-2010, Kristina continued her organ studies at the Norwegian Music Academy in Oslo. She completed her bachelor and master degrees in solo performance with distinction, her main tutors having been Jon Laukvik and Terje Winge. Ms. Lysiak has also studied harpsichord with Knut Johannesen and hammerklavier with Liv Glaser. During this period, Kristina has performed among others at Usedom Music Festival in Germany (2007), Summer Academy in Vienna (2007, 2008), and the historical seminar in Leufstabruk (2008 in Sweden). She has frequently participated in master classes with Olivier Latry, Gillian Weir, Hans Fagius, and between 2007-2010 she studied extensively with professor Michael Gailit (Vienna). She has also played many piano and organ recitals in Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Russia, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Austria. Since 2010 Ms. Lysiak has worked as a cantor at Stjørdal church.
