William Kay comes originally from Yorkshire, England. He studied organ with Philip
Tordoff at Halifax Minster, and later with Keith Jarvis at The University of Huddersfield. He moved to Norway in 1996 and was organist in Stranda and Sykkylven until 2002. Since then, he has held the post of organist in the parish of Radøy, just north of Bergen. In addition to his commitment to the organ as a liturgical instrument, he is also much in demand as an accompanist and concert performer. Recent engagements include solo concerts in Lithuania, broadcast services on Norwegian television, in addition to concert work closer to home.
